North Front Street - 100 block - Looking south.
On the left side of the photo is the massive old stone post office with tower and Romanesque detailing, which was constructed on this site,1889-1891. The building was torn down in 1936 to make way for the current U.S. Post Office, a W.P.A. project, completed in 1937. On the right side of the street is A. David's Clothing and Men's Furnishings, Anson Allegood's Ready to Wear and the Royal Theater. Streetcar tracks are located in the street.
