Response Emergency
Management Organization
(REMO)

REMO is the volunteer component of New Hanover County Emergency Management. As such, members are trained in topics such as Search & Rescue, Radiological Response, Emergency Medical Care, Communications, Logistics, and other topics important to the completion of EM missions. Active members are eligible to attend advanced training at the National Emergency Training Center in Emittsburg, MD.

As a guideline, members should be in good physical and emotional health, be drug free, possess a valid NC drivers license, and not have a criminal history.  All prospective members may expect to meet the above criteria.

REMO meets every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Meetings are normally held at the Emergency Management Logistics Support Center, 1623 Hewlett Drive on the property of New Hanover International Airport.

REMO is always looking for good people... we have a great range of members from retirees to professionals in the work force.

We'll be glad to tell you all about REMO, and extend an invitation to see what we're all about!
